Key Job Responsibilities
- Solve large or significantly complex problems that require deep knowledge and understanding of the domain and scientific innovation.
- Own strategic problem solving and lead the design, implementation, and delivery of solutions with long‑term quantifiable impact.
- Provide cross‑organizational technical influence, increasing productivity and effectiveness by sharing deep knowledge and experience.
- Develop strategic plans to identify fundamentally new solutions for business problems.
- Assist in the career development of others, actively mentoring individuals and the community on advanced technical issues.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in areas such as SAT, SMT, mechanical theorem proving, symbolic simulation, programming language type systems, or program analysis.
- Programming experience in O’Caml, Dafny, Haskell, Kotlin, Lean, Rust, Scala, or a related language.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional experience programming in O’Caml, Dafny, Haskell, Kotlin, Lean, Rust, Scala or a related language.

Benefits and Compensation
The base salary range for this position is \$142,800.00 - \$193,200.00 annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and optional Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
