And so much more.Role Purpose: Primary technical contact for the account. Define and interpret the customer's technical roadmap and monitor their system progress (substrates, filters, catalysts, controls, operating window, etc.). Manage customer projects. Define customer technology and quality requirements. Coordinate and lead all customer validation projects.Key Responsibilities:Define, update, maintain Corning's technical account strategy for their customerDefine and deploy Corning's current product/support portfolio that matches the customer's needs.Define gaps in those needs not met by current products.Gage competitor activities and statusManagement of all day-to-day technical activities at the accountCoordinate Corning products design-in effort at specific customerEnsure Corning Program(s) understand the customer's needsSupport the customer's test data analysis/interpretation (ongoing design programs)Support specific customer initiativesCoordinate understanding of coating and canning impacts during design-in and PPAP PPAP/Specification Management at CustomerCoordinates with Regional Technology Manager to ensure Corning management understands the customer's needsTravel Requirements: Domestic Travel <25% Could require international travelExperiences/Education - Required:Required Education: BS Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Materials, or Ceramic preferred)Required Years and Area of Experience: Minimum 3 years of business-related experience, desired 5 yearsRequired Skills: Experience in application engineering, account management or system engineering with automotive customers and platform technologies (preference: emissions systems) Knowledge of competitors'/competitive technologies Understanding of specifications and approval process (incl. boundaries, tools) Understand the basics of global emissions legislation Understand the basics of emission testing Familiarity w/ QA systems (IATF16949, AIAG, PPAP, etc.)Experiences/Education - Desired:Understand current and future OEM-specific engine/system designs, strategies, functionality requirements, and implications for Corning productsUnderstand OEM and supply chain development processes, including series introductionStrong knowledge of vehicle emissions systems, including substrates, filters, physical attributes, specifications, production, and quality methodsFamiliar with Corning systems such as CAPA, LIMS, and WWESSDFMEA/PFMEA experienceThorough understanding of design tools and services, including mounting/canning, coating effects, CAD, CAE, testing, emissions testing, and prototypingEstablished Corning (CET) network with knowledge of company structure, markets, and strategiesGeneral knowledge of engine and emission control technologies, trends, customer organizations, and supply chain roles/technologiesSoft Skills: Team player with strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and project management skills. Able to read technical drawings, solve problems, write technically, and maintain strong customer focus. Self-starter with strong technical curiosityThis position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $96,254.00 - $132,349.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.Corning offers you the total package.
