This role involves driving the technological evaluation stage of sales, mentoring team members, and ensuring seamless project transitions. The ideal candidate will have a blend of hands-on technical skills and strategic leadership experience to contribute to both pre-sale and project management efforts.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a technical advisor for secondary packaging systems, robotics, automation, and AI integration.Handle RFQs, URS documentation, and conceptual designs during pre-sale stages.Lead technical evaluations, on-site customer visits, and equipment assessments.Act as a mentor for Applications Engineering team members, fostering growth and development.Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, staying updated on industry standards and trends.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).4–6 years of experience in secondary packaging, robotics, or industrial automation.Proficiency in AutoCAD, PDM, and industry-standard software tools.Strong understanding of OSHA, USDA, UL508A, FDA, and NFPA 70 NEC standards.Excellent communication skills and ability to manage customer relationships.Preferred ExperienceBackground in food and beverage packaging.Salesforce experience for managing technical data and CRM files.TravelOccasional travel (5–10%) for customer visits and trade shows.Work ScheduleMonday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with flexibility as required.BenefitsCompetitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional development and growth in a collaborative environment.
