Application Support Engineer
Duration: 12 months (potential to extend)
Pay rate: $71.06/hr
Location: Onsite 5 days/week in Chicago, IL or Denver, CO
Must-Haves:
- Experience supporting/administering enterprise applications in a large environment
- Vulnerability remediation experience
- Strong networking knowledge
- Understanding of application architecture, APIs, and system integrations
- Experience troubleshooting application issues, integrations, logs, and overall application health
- Understanding of relational databases, cloud services, and middleware technologies
- Working knowledge of scripting such as Python, Bash, or SQL; role is not coding-heavy
Plusses:
- SafeBreach experience, especially implementation, administration, or support
- Mandiant experience
- Experience with other security/vulnerability testing tools
- Application administration and management experience
- Experience supporting upgrades, patches, and production releases
- Experience managing user access, roles, permissions, and application configurations
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking an Application Engineer for a top financial services client. This individual will support and administer a critical enterprise application, with a strong focus on application management, vulnerability remediation, networking, and SafeBreach support. The engineer will troubleshoot technical issues, monitor application health and integrations, and partner with infrastructure, security, and business teams to keep the environment stable and secure. This is not a coding-heavy position and is best suited for someone with previous Bank of America experience who has hands-on experience supporting applications in a complex enterprise environment.
- Support and administer an enterprise application within Bank of America
- Help support and manage SafeBreach
- Perform application administration, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Support vulnerability remediation efforts
- Monitor application health, logs, interfaces, and integrations
- Investigate and resolve application and networking-related issues
- Partner with infrastructure, security, business, and vendor teams to resolve technical problems
- Maintain application availability, reliability, security, and performance
- Assist with upgrades, patches, releases, and lifecycle management
- Perform limited scripting/coding as needed, with the role primarily focused on application support rather than development
