Application Security Trainer

To support a leading financial institution, the part-time Application Security Trainer will deliver training and enablement sessions to development teams, focusing on secure coding practices and application security concepts, while working remotely within designated regions. Key responsibilities Advise development teams on interpreting and remediating application security findings from various scanning methodologies Deliver targeted training and create self-service documentation to help developers understand and fix common vulnerabilities Partner with security and DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and track remediation progress based on risk Required qualifications Hands-on programming experience with Java and Python, with knowledge of JavaScript or C# being a plus In-depth understanding of application security concepts, including OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerability classes Familiarity with application security scanning methodologies such as SAST and SCA Proven ability to create technical documentation and deliver training content effectively Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts to developers
