We are seeking an Application Security Engineer with strong hands‑on experience supporting Checkmarx or similar SAST platforms.
The role involves providing technical support, coordinating with vendors, supporting upgrades and patching, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to enhance application security processes and tooling.
The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, familiarity with Agile environments, and a solid understanding of OWASP priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands‑on technical support for Checkmarx and the Checkmarx ONE platform.
- Drive vendor accountability to address product issues and defects.
- Support patching activities and perform upgrade testing for security tools.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Application Security Champions, developers, and offshore partners.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, updated, and reflective of process changes.
- Troubleshoot complex technology integration issues across tools and pipelines.
- Assist in integrating AI‑based detection and remediation tools with CI/CD pipelines and SAST platforms.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of application security experience.
- 2+ years of experience working in Agile environments and with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence (or equivalents).
- Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex application security and integration issues.
- Experience integrating detection/remediation tools with pipelines and SAST tools such as Checkmarx (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of cloud experience.
- 3+ years of scripting experience (Python preferred).
