Application Production Support
High level JD:
* 6+ years of experience in Application Production Support on Linux platform
* Strong technical troubleshooting skills
* Good experience in scripting - Shell, Automations
* Well versed with ITIL - Incident, Change, Release management
* Basic knowledge of Middleware technologies - Apache Tomcat
* Experience with application monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus
* Experience with AutoSys or other scheduling mechanisms
* Experience with DevOps CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, uDeploy
* Knowledge of Banking domain is preferable
* Basic knowledge of Database - Oracle SQL
* Good understanding of Infrastructure Technologies - Linux, Windows, MW, Database
* Good to have knowledge of DevOps, SRE, Automation, cloud
Expectations from this role
* Handle outage calls efficiently, triage any issues, and resolve them
* Do root cause analysis of repetitive and problem issues
* Report issues and resolve as per process and documentation
* Understand Incident Management System
* Work with APM tools and monitoring alerts, batch failures, ServiceNow queue, mailbox, etc.
* Analyze failures using APM tools and batch monitoring tools
* Types of job failures and troubleshooting (NAS, FTP failures)
* Basic web server administration and shell commands
* Linux administration basics
* ITIL processes
* Standard maintenance activities & SOP
* DB‑Oracle/MSSQL admin basics, basic networking commands
* Understand networking topology, load balancer, basic HTTP failures, Fiddler/Postman
* Understanding of support teams
