Robert Half is partnering with a client seeking an experienced Applications Development Manager to lead application development, software delivery, and technical teams in a growing technology environment.
This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the design, development, support, and continuous improvement of business applications while establishing development standards, governance, and best practices. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with proven people leadership experience and can effectively partner with both business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of application developers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including solution design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and ongoing enhancements.
- Establish and maintain software development standards, governance processes, coding practices, and quality assurance procedures.
- Conduct architecture reviews, design reviews, and code reviews to ensure solutions meet business, technical, security, and performance requirements.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines, source control practices, release management processes, and deployment standards.
- Provide oversight for application development, database development, data integrations, and data migration initiatives.
- Collaborate with business leaders, product teams, and technology partners to define priorities and deliver solutions that align with organizational objectives.
- Manage project delivery, production support activities, system enhancements, and strategic technology initiatives.
- Monitor and report on delivery metrics, operational performance, quality standards, and team productivity.
- Develop resource plans, manage budgets, and ensure the team has the tools and support needed to achieve business objectives.
- Lead hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning efforts for the development team.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support organizational and technology transformation efforts.
