Senior Applications Developer/Engineer – Accenture Federal Services

Responsibilities

• Build, enhance and maintain custom solutions in Jira, Java-based and Azure .NET custom web applications.
• Migrate Jira and Confluence to Atlassian Cloud.
• Apply software updates and patches to Jira, Confluence, WebSphere.
• Integrate Jira with other tools and systems.
• Provide technical mentorship, guidance, and expertise to a small team of developers.
• Modernize applications written in older technologies for new platforms.
• Perform requirements analysis and write professional, detailed technical documentation.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and solve technical issues with existing applications.
• Communicate clearly with clients, team members and customers via video, phone and in person.
• Capture clear, concise and accurate technical documentation.

Special Skills & Knowledge

• Expertise in migration of Jira and Confluence to Atlassian Cloud.
• Identity Management.
• Agile Scrum with JIRA and general JIRA Application Administration.
• ServiceNow ticket management.
• Power Platform.
• IIS and web server administration; ability to troubleshoot applications and servers based on cyber alerts.
• Azure App Service, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure DevOps.
• Ability to coordinate and lead development activities among team members.
• SQL, particularly Stored Procedures.
• Business Analysis.
• Work closely to communicate with stakeholders, team members and customers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining custom Jira solutions.
• Experience with Java, JavaScript and relational databases (SQL, SQL Managed Instance).
• Experience with version control systems, frameworks and tools relevant to application development.
• 4+ years of advanced Azure developer skills using .NET technologies, App Service and SQL.
• Experience with Atlassian Cloud and migrating Jira and Confluence to Atlassian Cloud.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant experience.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to Illinois, Tennessee or Maryland.

Compensation

$91,300 – $184,900 USD (range depends on location and experience).
