Application Architect IIIWe are seeking an Application Architect to define and implement models for hands-free Java application releases. This role focuses on designing how solutions should be built rather than direct implementation. As a member of a small team, you will establish standard models for new Java applications to adopt hands-free deployment as a new default process.
This involves defining automated CI/CD processing, smoke testing, approval, and production deployment procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and implement models for hands-free Java application release processes.Establish standard models for new Java applications to implement hands-free deployment.Oversee automated CI/CD processing, smoke testing, approval, and production deployment, including shutdown, restart, and traffic migration.Utilize familiarity with Horizon tools and Cutover for scripting automated flows.Address complexities of database and configuration transition, as well as traffic management during releases.Engage with client teams to document requirements and resolve issues.Formulate standard patterns and processes for releases, including blue/green and canary styles.Required QualificationsTechnical Skills:Experience with CI/CD processes and tooling such as Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and OpenShift.Experience deploying and releasing small to complex Java applications.Proficiency with automation coordination execution tools, particularly Cutover.Experience with automated validation and testing.Knowledge of both blue/green and canary style releases.Familiarity with Java-based applications, containers, and VM deployments.DevOps and Python experience.Preferred QualificationsJava application development experience.Experience in Production Support, Performance Testing, Functional Test Automation, or Database Management.Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
