Enterprise Architecture Services Team MemberAs a member of the Enterprise Architecture Services team, you will be at the forefront of systems architecture definition and implementation focusing on applications within our Claims technology portfolio. Enabling our business processes with new and innovative ways to deliver services and value to our customers will require someone with the ability to translate business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large, complex IT solutions. Successful Application Architects are respected leaders who work well with others, have enough charisma to influence and guide others in challenging situations, and are motivated by long-term results while addressing short-term needs. The Architect will bring their expertise to serve as a technical leader working with analysts, developers, and the business to design and guide the architecture of multiple applications across the Claims domain. The Sr. Analyst is a technical resource who identifies the best solution and generates technical specifications for the development team. Successful analysts can be offered full time employment and put on a career track leading to a position as an Application Architect. While this role is not a heads-down development role, in order to be successful, the Sr. Analyst must have solid experience as both an Systems Analyst and Developer using Java and Spring Boot to build systems following a microservices based approach.Required Skills -10+ years technical experience in multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments including 4 years of application architecture experience. Comfortable with Java and other programming languages with a firm grasp of fundamental web, internet, and mobile technologies. Expertise with application architecture principles such as Object Oriented Design and use of UML with the experience applying that knowledge to create solution architectures to solve complex business problems that have a broad impact on the business.

Experience defining and negotiating solution options while considering risks, costs, and impact on the enterprise business processes and goals.

Experience applying enterprise integration patterns using SOA, API’s, microservices, message-based, and file-based approaches with experience using all of the following: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, MuleSoft and IBM Message Queue (MQ).

Experience with applying data integration patterns using traditional and modern data technologies (SQL, NoSQL) with experience with both DB2 and SQL Server. Familiarity with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF). A keen understanding on how security controls are positioned and how they relate to the overall systems architecture.

Experience delivering solutions using an Agile/Scrum methodology within Jira or similar tool. Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and communication. Able to mentor others as needed.Job Duties -Serve as technical designer to identify best solution within the limits of code environment. Design enhancements for Claims applications/systems solutions through integration of technical and business requirements into specifications for the development team. Link Business Analyst needs and Architect definitions to technical solutions. Server as a domain expert for multiple applications. Familiarity with any of the following is a plus: Talend, ForgeRock, Jenkins, UCD, Github, Maven, ELK Stack, Dynatrace, Angular. Comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment; able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Good conceptual and creative thinking skills. Ability to balance multiple tasks concurrently and independently manage time. Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking. Strong oral/written communication skills with solid interpersonal skills. Creative out of the box thinking for finding solutions to technical problems.
