Application ArchitectArchitectBoston, MAJO- Our tight-knit Development team builds and maintains a large private website which helps more than 2,000 small business owners manage their daily lives. It is built primarily using Microsoft technologies, including.NET and SQL Server. We also have a public-facing site and mobile versions of our tools.

Our development approach has always been Agile, and we recently revamped our team structure based on Scrum.Responsibilities:Helping define logical and physical application architecture and documenting that architecture using diagramsHelping identify design patterns and anti-patterns and enforcing implementation through design reviewsBuilding strong, collaborative relationships with a variety of people (Scrum team technical leads, product owners, and development managers), as well as across Scrum and peer technology teams (Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Information Security)Providing leadership to the various Scrum teams in design and architectureLeading Scrum teams in creating appropriate designs that consider product strategy, project-level in-scope requirements, technical debt remediation opportunities, and design patternsHelping teams choose from multiple design options while balancing project timelines and architecture standards/guidelinesPerforming root cause analyses, technology evaluations, and design spikesContinuously learning and being unafraid to implement new practices, processes, and technologiesStaying abreast of industry, technology, language, and process trendsCommitting to completing well-defined work in our architecture backlog and delivering on those commitmentsIdentifying and promoting improvements to our SDLC for the overall development organization, including, but not limited to, areas such as version control, continuous integration, project build, and project deploymentConsistently following software development methodology when working on research proof of concepts or while creating/maintaining software owned by the Architecture teamQualifications:3+ years as an architect or 5+ years in a tech lead role10+ years designing interconnected, complex systemsExcellent communication skillsExperience working in an Agile/Scrum environmentExperience working with various teams and influencing a common alignmentExperience with ASP.NET MVC applicationsExperience with ASP.NET Web APIThe ideal candidate will also have familiarity with some of the following technologies:NServiceBusClient-side technologies/frameworks (Angular 2, Knockout, Web Components)Microsoft Azure or other cloud infrastructures
