Position Summary

Work directly with client areas to develop and implement improvements, fixes, and upgrades for the Unified ERP system. Provide guidance and support to junior analysts and developers, ensuring solutions meet documented requirements and specifications while following best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and five (5) years of professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Object‑Oriented Programming, unit testing, playwright, project management, and XML.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Oracle Database, Oracle PeopleTools, and at least three (3) years of PeopleSoft experience.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Administrative Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with resources across UGA to support application system development and operation.
  • Maintain effective working relationships between IT and client communities to anticipate information needs.
  • Follow system policies and educate others in best practices.
  • Provide feedback, technical training, and mentorship to AIS staff to meet departmental and institutional goals.

Design and Development Responsibilities

  • Participate in client interviews to determine needs.
  • Develop and implement application programs based on directed requirements and specifications.
  • Perform unit testing, document results, and correct issues.
  • Review specifications, identify gaps, and propose solutions.

Production Support Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day support to end users under direction of supervisor and AIS leadership.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure continuous system functionality.
  • Maintain documentation for assigned systems and programs.
  • Participate in AIS response to system issues, including after‑hours when required.

Project and Workload Management Responsibilities

  • Follow AIS change‑management processes and maintain documentation for auditability.
  • Prioritize and plan daily work in coordination with supervisor and AIS management.
  • Update tracking systems with timely task status.
  • Engage in training and professional development to enhance skills.
