Application Analyst II-BH Clinical SystemsThe Corporate Information Services Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Application Analyst II-BH Clinical Systems. The Application Analyst II-BH Clinical Systems acts as a clinical liaison between the Corporate IS Department and the BH facility. Perform duties associated with implementation, training, support, and maintenance for all aspects of the clinical information system.
Duties also include performing basic computer and computer peripherals troubleshooting skills. This position provides problem tracking, resolution, enhancement requests, active participation in system testing, workflow redesign, change management, and ongoing Cerner education to facility employees and physicians.Key responsibilities include:Provides on-going support and management of clinical applicationsRegularly meets with users, vendors, and IS staff to develop/modify system specificationsSupports the implementations of applications and prepares the appropriate documentationPerforms system testing and documentation for all phases of the application development life cyclePerforms Q/A on application functionalityResearches and resolves implementation-related Customer Support Center TicketsAdheres to appropriate UHS Project Management standardsEnsures strict adherence to work plans, reporting all serious deviations to managementAssists with the training of users in operating procedures for applicationCoordinates project team member activities to achieve common objectivesWorking in conjunction with a project manager, monitors project plansTracks project status, issues and progressResearches and resolves Customer Support Center Tickets including major application upgradesAdheres to UHS Service Level and Change Management PoliciesProvides on-call support as scheduledEstablishes and maintains regular communications with user communityMaintains Service Excellence principlesPrepares and submits status reports to supervisor as requiredKeeps management well informed of activities, needs, problemsPerforms other tasks as required by managementQualifications Position Requirements:2 years of completed college coursework towards a Bachelor's degree or an Associate's degree is required3-5 years of related experience is requiredUnderstanding of clinical workflow and operational processes within a behavioral health facility including but not limited to nurse unit/dept, therapies, and intakePrevious Cerner experience is requiredMinimum two years direct patient care experience preferredBasic computer skills and Microsoft Office experience requiredAdvanced working knowledge of clinical information systems (Cerner) preferredMentoring/leadership experienceAbility to collaborate with clinicians to discern software specifications, hardware requirements, and process improvement workflowsMust be comfortable and confident interacting with physicians and clinicians at all levelsAdditional skills desired for the position include general IT knowledge that includes basic troubleshooting skills of computers, laptops, networks, and peripherals (printers, microphones, scanners, etc.)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsLicense or Registration Requirements:Hospital or Healthcare facility experience preferredClinical and Application Knowledge preferredTravel Requirements:Up to 40% regional travel (depending on projects)This opportunity provides the following:Challenging and rewarding work environmentGrowth and development opportunities within UHS and its subsidiariesCompetitive CompensationExcellent Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Plan401k plan with company matchGenerous Paid Time Off
