Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth legal research on complex legal issues.
- Draft appellate briefs, legal memoranda, motions, and other persuasive legal documents.
- Analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and legal precedents to support litigation strategy.
- Assist attorneys with appellate matters and provide legal research support for ongoing cases.
- Review trial records and identify appellate issues.
- Collaborate with attorneys to develop legal arguments and case strategies.
- Ensure all filings comply with applicable court rules and deadlines.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Nebraska, or eligibility to practice in Nebraska.
- Minimum of 5 years of legal experience.
- Prior experience as a state or federal appellate judicial clerk is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must be located in Nebraska and able to commute to the Omaha office as required.
