APP Program Director

Panoramic Health is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to serve as our APP Program Director. Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer, this senior leadership role will champion the growth, development, and success of APPs across our national network of nephrology practices. The APP Program Director will lead onboarding, education, mentorship, clinical standardization, recruitment initiatives, and provider engagement while partnering closely with physician and operational leaders to drive excellence in patient care and provider performance. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the APP Program Director is a senior advanced practice provider (NP or PA) responsible for leading, connecting, and elevating APPs across all Panoramic Health practice sites. This role serves as the primary APP liaison to physician and operational leadership, standardizes clinical protocols and onboarding, develops education and mentorship programs, and partners with the VP of Provider Growth on recruiting, school partnerships, retention, and platform expansion.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary bridge between APPs and physician, clinical, and operational leadership; represents the APP team in leadership forums and ensures two-way communication across the platform.
• Chairs the APP Council and leads regional APP representatives through quarterly all-council meetings and monthly regional check-ins to surface local insights, deployment needs, and provider concerns.
• Designs and delivers a recurring APP education program, including clinical updates, case reviews, protocol training, CME opportunities, and service-line readiness across all sites.
• Leads structured onboarding for incoming APPs and establishes peer mentorship pathways to accelerate confidence, productivity, and integration into PH's clinical model.
• Establishes consistent clinical protocols across APP settings, reducing variation and aligning workflows with physician expectations and organizational standards.
• Monitors APP clinical quality metrics, identifies best-practice opportunities, and drives continuous improvement in collaboration with clinical and operational leadership.
• Provides oversight for APP documentation standards, including incident-to billing requirements, note accuracy, appropriate supervision protocols, and other compliance expectations across practice settings.
• Partners with the VP of Provider Growth on APP recruitment, retention, and platform expansion to align provider capacity with growth strategy and reduce time-to-start.
• Builds relationships with NP and PA programs to create a sustainable candidate pipeline aligned with PH's specialty care model.
• Facilitates cross-site APP meetings, huddles, peer learning forums, and real-time clinical support channels to strengthen community and reduce provider isolation.
• Supports rapid regional deployment and cross-site coverage by working through regional APP representatives and peer networks before escalating to broader staffing solutions.
• Advocates for APP development, scope-of-practice clarity, workload balance, and career pathways so APPs are seen as valued contributors across the organization.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.

Education/Training And Certification, Licensure, Registration Requirements

• NP or PA credential with active clinical license required.
• Advanced clinical degree or certification required as applicable to licensure.
• Ongoing CME and specialty practice education required; nephrology or related specialty care training preferred.

Experience

• 5+ years of specialty practice experience required.
• Experience as a senior NP or PA with demonstrated clinical leadership, education, mentorship, or onboarding responsibilities.
• Multi-site, platform, or geographically distributed practice experience preferred.
• Experience partnering with recruiting/provider growth teams and NP/PA school programs preferred.
• Nephrology or adjacent specialty care experience preferred.
• Specialty practice expertise with the ability to translate frontline clinical experience into scalable standards.
• Ability to design education, onboarding, CME, case review, and protocol training programs across distributed sites.
• Strong partnership skills with physician leadership, operational leadership, and Provider Growth teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort using data and reporting to monitor program execution and quality.
