APP Pediatric Urology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Job Overview

The Pediatric Urology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with RNFA assists, monitors, and manages the day-to-day needs of patients as requested by, in conjunction with, and under the supervision of a physician. Performs the duties and responsibilities of a Physician Assistant according to customary and generally accepted medical standards.

Monday - Friday weekdays, no nights, no weekends, no call.

This is an OR and office position split. Mon-Fri 8 hour days no weekends no holidays.

Qualifications for Physician Assistant

• Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program, accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Licenses and Certifications Required (Physician Assistant)

• Physician Assistant License.
• National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
• BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.

Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Licenses and Certifications Required (Nurse Practitioner)

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• Advance Practice Nurse License.
• BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
• Board certified by AANP or ANCC.
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
• RNFA certification.
