MultiCare Cancer Institute is a physician‑led, multi‑specialty oncology group within MultiCare Health System that serves Washington state and treats more than 6,000 new cancer cases each year.
Position Summary
Medical Oncology Nurse Practitioner – outpatient clinic, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This role focuses on managing a patient load of up to 15 patients per day, providing follow‑up care, symptom management and continuity of care within an interprofessional oncology team.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for patients undergoing systemic therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted agents.
- Assess and manage treatment‑related symptoms and side‑effects.
- Coordinate care across disciplines and support patients through education, counseling and survivorship planning.
- Order, interpret and follow‑up on diagnostic tests and imaging.
- Offer guidance on follow‑up care, medication regimens and lifestyle modifications to support informed decision‑making.
- Participate in tumor boards, care conferences and quality improvement initiatives.
- Document all patient interactions and clinical decisions in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Maintain current knowledge of oncology best practices, emerging therapies and clinical guidelines through continuing education and training.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nurse‑practitioner program.
- Current ARNP certification and licensure in Washington State.
- DEA, NPI and prescriptive authority.
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.
Benefits
Competitive salary range: $171,000.00 - $181,800.00 USD.
