- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and/or SOAP APIs for internal and external integrations.
- Lead end-to-end API integration projects with third-party vendors, partners, and internal platforms.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable integration solutions.
- Develop and manage API contracts, specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger), and documentation.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, API Keys).
- Handle data transformations, mappings, and orchestration across systems.
- Monitor API performance, reliability, and scalability; troubleshoot integration issues.
- Enforce API best practices including versioning, error handling, throttling, and logging.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps, and QA teams.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
- Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and regulatory standards.
