Location: Wilmington, DE/ New York NY (Onsite)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Overview
Seeking a Senior API Automation Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in backend test automation. This is a hands-on role focused on API automation (90%) , requiring strong coding skills in Java or Python and experience building automation frameworks using Cucumber .
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain API automation frameworks and test suites.
- Create automated tests for REST APIs and backend services.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Improve automation coverage and testing efficiency.
- Support CI/CD and Agile development practices.
- Participate in code reviews, testing strategy, and quality initiatives.
Required Skills
- 5-10 years of Automation/SDET experience.
- Strong coding skills in Java or Python .
- Extensive API Automation experience.
- Hands-on experience with Cucumber .
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and backend testing.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience with Bruno , Postman, Rest Assured, Jenkins, Git, or Maven.
