Supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project, the full-time API Authentication Developer will work remotely to define API design standards, maintain API contracts, and implement security practices across multiple teams focused on API Management and Security. Key responsibilities Define API design standards and review APIs for consistency and usability Author and maintain OpenAPI Specification contracts and validation standards Implement authentication and authorization patterns, including JWT issuance and validation Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience Hands-on experience with API management and security, including AWS API Gateway and JSON-based APIs Experience with identity technologies such as Active Directory and JWT-based authentication Experience supporting Kubernetes environments and containerized workloads Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex API and performance issues
