The instructor will guide students through the fundamentals of anime and cartoon drawing—covering character design, facial expressions, proportions, and storytelling—while encouraging each participant's unique artistic style.ResponsibilitiesPlan and lead weekly 60-minute drawing lessons tailored to ages 9+Teach foundational and intermediate techniques in anime and cartoon artDemonstrate step-by-step drawing methods, shading, and color useEncourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression in a supportive environmentPrepare lesson materials and manage classroom setup and cleanupMaintain attendance and communicate effectively with site staff and parentsEnsure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphereQualificationsExperience in drawing, illustration, or animation (anime/cartoon style preferred)Prior teaching or mentoring experience with children or teensStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to create a fun and engaging class environmentReliability and professionalism in attendance and preparationExperienceWorking with children: 1 year (Required)Classroom management: 1 year (Required)Anime and Cartoon Art: 3 years (Required)Ability to CommuteMadison, CT 06443 (Required)Work LocationIn person
