Assignment Length: 6 months, with potential for ongoing coverage as needed

Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital

Trauma Level: Adult III/IV

Practice Setting: Rural / Critical Access

Schedule & Availability

Regular Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM

Weekday Call: 3:00 PM-7:00 AM

Weekend Call: Friday at 7:00 AM through Monday at 7:00 AM

Call Requirement: Weekday and weekend call required

Providers must be comfortable working in a rural, critical access setting and participating in both scheduled clinical coverage and call responsibilities.

Specific Coverage Needs

October 19-23, 2026

  • 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
  • No weekday call

November 5-13, 2026

  • Weekend call: November 6-8
  • Weekday call: November 10 and 12

December 21-30, 2026

  • Holiday call: December 24-27
  • Urgent coverage need due to no full-time provider available to take call
Licensure & Certification Requirements

New York Medical License: Required and must be in hand

Board Certification: Board Certified preferred

Board Eligibility: Board Eligible candidates may be considered

BLS: Required

ACLS: Required

PALS: Required

Certification Provider: AHA or RQI certifications accepted

EMR Experience: Epic experience required

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Inpatient anesthesia coverage
  • OB anesthesia
  • Epidural placement/management
  • General anesthesia
  • Surgical case coverage
  • Scheduling surgeries
  • Potential CRNA supervision
  • Additional anesthesia-related duties as assigned
Patient Volume

Average Patient Volume: Approximately 10-15 patients

Candidate Requirements
  • Comfortable practicing in a rural, critical access environment
  • Comfortable with inpatient and OB anesthesia
  • Epidural experience required
  • General anesthesia experience
  • Comfortable participating in weekday and weekend call
  • CRNA supervision experience may be required depending on assignment
  • Epic experience required
  • New York license must be in hand at submission
