- MD or DO degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- Completion of an approved residency in Anesthesiology
- Board certification or fellowship required
- Active physician license
- ECFMG and FLEX required
- Minimum 1 year of anesthesiology experience required
- Experience with general and orthopedic case types preferred
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Assist in directing and coordinating anesthesia department activities
- Provide medical management for patients receiving anesthesia during surgery and other procedures
- Perform pre-anesthesia assessments
- Obtain and verify patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients
- Induce, maintain, and emerge patients safely from anesthesia
- Monitor the patient's physiological condition throughout care
- Provide clinical intervention when needed
- Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, and the care team to support safe, efficient patient care
