Delphi Healthcare is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist for a full-time locum tenens opportunity at a well-established acute care hospital in Auburn, New York. This assignment offers a predictable weekday schedule, competitive compensation, call opportunities, and the support of an experienced perioperative team in a community-focused environment.
Position Details

Schedule

• Full-time coverage required
• Monday-Friday
• 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• 40-hour weekly guarantee
• 5x8 schedule

Compensation

• Regular Rate: $375.00/hour
• Overtime Rate: $400.00/hour
• Holiday Rate: $400.00/hour
• 24-Hour Call: $1,330/day
• Night Call: $665/shift
• Call Back Rate: $400.00/hour

Travel Benefits

• Up to $2,000 per week travel reimbursement for eligible expenses
• Flights, lodging, rental car, and related travel expenses reimbursed with receipts
• Malpractice coverage provided

Call Responsibilities

• Night Call: 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend Call: 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 AM)
• Must be willing to cover a minimum of two call shifts per week
• Additional call opportunities available
• Must be able to arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes when on call

Call Compensation Details

• Weekend and weekday callback minimum of two hours applies only if called in and total work time is less than two hours, or if a case is canceled after arrival.
• If not called in, providers receive the applicable flat call rate only.
• Callback hours are paid at the callback/OT rate.
• Providers working call may be released early if OR volumes decrease; however, the 10-hour shift guarantee remains in effect.

Clinical Practice
This role provides a mix of bread-and-butter anesthesia cases with orthopedic exposure in a busy community hospital setting.
Volume & Environment

• Approximately 20-30 cases per day
• Collaborative anesthesia team
• Supervision model up to 4:1
• Efficient surgical services department

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Active New York medical license required
• Minimum two years of anesthesiology experience
• Proficiency in regional anesthesia
• Must independently perform nerve blocks
• OB anesthesia experience required
• Comfortable supervising CRNAs up to a 4:1 ratio
• AHA or RQI certification required
• Residents and Fellows cannot be considered

Credentialing Requirements

• Current, up-to-date CV
• No unexplained work-history gaps exceeding 30 days
• Physician statement required for any malpractice history
• Credentialing timeframe: approximately 3-4 weeks
