Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join their established Department of Anesthesia in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia coverage, including medical direction to CRNAs, regional anesthesia, OB, and invasive monitoring, within a Level II trauma center. - Support surgical services at a Level II trauma center in a rural setting.
- Cover all cases except for transplants; pediatric and cardiac cases are handled by fellowship-trained anesthesiologists.
- Physicians are strongly encouraged to be involved in medical education and research.
Responsibilities
- Provide Anesthesia coverage.
- Provide medical direction to CRNAs.
- Perform regional anesthesia.
- Provide OB anesthesia.
- Perform invasive monitoring.
- Perform history and physical examinations.
- Provide comprehensive management of patients of all ages rendered unconscious or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgical and obstetrical procedures.

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Successful completion of a hospital-affiliated residency/fellowship of at least 3-4 years' duration in Anesthesia accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
- BE/BC in Anesthesiology by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training.
- Demonstrate active involvement in at least 200 Anesthesia cases in the last 24 months.
