Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville, NC, is seeking anesthesiologists to join its team. This is an opportunity to work within a modern 154-bed facility known for its skilled medical providers. The role involves working in a collaborative care team model alongside four anesthesiologists and eight CRNAs.

Responsibilities
- Handle case assignments including General, peds, vascular, robotic, urologic, orthopedic, OB, and gynecologic surgery.
- Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
- Responsible for the medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures.
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments.
- Obtain and/or verify patient consent.
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient.
- Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
- Monitor the patient's physiological condition and perform clinical intervention as needed.
Compensation
- Salary: $525,000
- Sign On Incentives including Loan Repayment and Training Assistance options: $75,000

Shift & Schedule
- Routinely three Anesthesiologists are present each day.
- Early out next day for the Physician who has been on call.
- Call averages every third night and every third weekend.
- Call from home, no nighttime labor epidurals and very low utilization.
Requirements
- M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
- ECFMG and FLEX.
- Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
- Currently licensed as a physician.
