Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville, NC, is seeking anesthesiologists to join its team. This is an opportunity to work within a modern 154-bed facility known for its skilled medical providers. The role involves working in a collaborative care team model alongside four anesthesiologists and eight CRNAs.

  • The modern facility is a 154-bed hospital.
  • The anesthesia group consists of four anesthesiologists and eight CRNAs.
  • Operates under a care team model.

Responsibilities

  • Handle case assignments including General, peds, vascular, robotic, urologic, orthopedic, OB, and gynecologic surgery.
  • Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures.
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments.
  • Obtain and/or verify patient consent.
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient.
  • Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
  • Monitor the patient's physiological condition and perform clinical intervention as needed.

Compensation

  • Salary: $525,000
  • Sign On Incentives including Loan Repayment and Training Assistance options: $75,000

Shift & Schedule

  • Routinely three Anesthesiologists are present each day.
  • Early out next day for the Physician who has been on call.
  • Call averages every third night and every third weekend.
  • Call from home, no nighttime labor epidurals and very low utilization.

Requirements

  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
  • ECFMG and FLEX.
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
  • Currently licensed as a physician.
