  • Anesthesia care team approach with CRNAs, MDs, and surgical team
  • Care team model includes approximately 3 anesthesiologists and 15 CRNAs

Responsibilities

  • Case assignments: Regional, Cardiovascular (CV), EP Lab cases, Neurology, Orthopedics, Obstetrics, General, Urology, and Well Peds, Pulmonary (bronchoscopy), Gastroenterology (EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP), Interventional Radiology
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures

Compensation

  • Salary: $537K
  • Sign on Incentive: $30K

Shift & Schedule

  • 2 weeks on, 1 week off position
  • 18 weeks of 7a-5p shift or 17.5 weeks of call and 17.5 weeks of day shift

Requirements

  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMG and FLEX
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a physician in Mississippi
  • Board Certification or actively board eligible by the American Board of Anesthesia
