Anesthesiologist

Black Hills Surgical Hospital is seeking a BE/BC Anesthesiologist to join their surgical practice in Rapid City, SD. The provider will work alongside three Anesthesiologists and twenty-two CRNAs to cover eleven operating rooms using a care team supervision approach. This exciting role features a robust regional practice, oversight of pre- and post-anesthesia care units, and collaboration with surgical and nursing teams to ensure safe anesthetic delivery.

• Team is comprised of three Anesthesiologists and twenty-two CRNAs to cover eleven operating rooms in a care team supervision approach
• Practice features a devoted Block Nurse running the latest in GE ultrasound units, reaching approximately 6,000 blocks per year
• Primary focus is providing cutting edge total joint replacement, extensive Sport Medicine, Ortho and Neuro spine, Gen Ortho, ENT, Gen Surg, Plastics and GYN
• New care lines beginning this fall include a single Cardiac Cath lab, focused on diagnostic and interventional for non-urgent/emergent case load and occasional Vascular procedures
• Located in Rapid City, SD, surrounded by the Black Hills

Responsibilities

• Participate in a robust regional practice shared between anesthetists and anesthesiologists reaching approximately 6,000 blocks per year
• Provide oversight of the pre- and post-anesthesia care units and ensure patients are properly cleared for surgery in conjunction with a pre-anesthesia testing clinic
• Collaborate with surgeons and nursing staff on complicated patients, ensuring safe anesthetic delivery
