Requirements to apply:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible – American Board of Anesthesiology
- Active or eligible Illinois medical license (or graduate within the last 3 years if not yet licensed)
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- PALS preferred depending on clinical setting

Job Overview
This role focuses on delivering safe, high-quality anesthesia care across a wide range of surgical specialties. The physician anesthesiologist performs preoperative evaluations, develops anesthesia plans, manages intraoperative care, and oversees postoperative recovery. Physicians collaborate closely with surgeons, CRNAs, and perioperative clinical teams within a physician-led anesthesia practice. Candidates may choose to practice as either an individual contributor or manage clinical teams.
