Anesthesiologist

OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, a designated Level I trauma center in Rockford, IL, is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join its fast-paced practice. This role involves providing medical management for patients undergoing various surgical and medical procedures. The position offers the opportunity to work with outstanding surgeons and support staff in a dynamic environment.

• Case assignments include Ortho, general, urology, plastics, hearts, neuro, and more

Responsibilities

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Compensation

• Salary: $500,000 annually
• Sign-on bonus: $100,000

Shift & Schedule

• Work 26 weeks per year with FT compensation and benefits

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMC and FLEX
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician
