• Patient Demographics: Adult and Pediatric
• Case Mix: General, Cardiac, Orthopedic, Vascular, Spine, Obstetric, Thoracic, and other Anesthesia cases

FACILITY INFORMATION

• No. of Beds in Department: 220+ Hospital Beds
• Specialty Backup Available: Broad specialty and subspecialty services
• Support Staff Available: CRNA team; CRNA supervision required

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Anesthesia Attestation: Required for all procedures

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Invasive Ventilation Management (ETT / Tracheostomy / NT)
• Temporary Transvenous Pacemaker Placement
• Transforaminal Cases (Lumbar or Cervical)
• Fluoroscopy-Guided Nerve Blocks
• Lumbar or Cervical Epidural Steroid Procedures
• Post-Operative Extremity Blocks
• Thoracic Cases

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active Indiana Medical License or IMLC
• Board: Board Certified preferred; Board Certified or Board Eligible accepted, with certification required within 5 years of residency
• Certifications: BLS Required; ACLS Required if requesting conscious sedation privileges
• Experience: No minimum years of experience specified
• Vaccinations: Flu and COVID vaccination required, or approved medical/religious exemption
• Other Qualifications: Drive-in candidate preferred; must be fully credentialed with locum agency; must provide 12 months of procedure logs; must sign Anesthesia Attestation for all procedures; must commit to orientation and all listed coverage dates

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide inpatient anesthesiology coverage for scheduled surgical and procedural cases.
• Administer adult and pediatric general anesthesia.
• Provide cardiac, epidural, spinal, obstetric, thoracic, orthopedic, vascular, and spine anesthesia.
• Perform required invasive lines, airway management, regional anesthesia, and other mandatory procedures.
• Supervise CRNAs as required.
• Provide weekend call coverage as scheduled.
• Complete provider order entry and document patient care in Epic.
• Enter worked hours through the Vemsta timekeeping platform.
