Anesthesiologist

Sanford Health is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join an established practice at Marshfield Medical Center - Rice Lake. This role involves medically directing CRNAs and providing comprehensive anesthesia care for a variety of surgical cases. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a fully integrated medical campus dedicated to healing and comfort.

• Surgical services include robotic cases, non-trauma ortho cases, podiatry, urology, endoscopies, sedation for cardioversions and cataracts
• Physicians are encouraged to be involved in medical education and research

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical examinations
• Provide comprehensive management of patients of all ages rendered unconscious or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgical, obstetrical procedures

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Successful completion of a hospital affiliated residency/fellowship of at least 3-4 years' duration in Anesthesia accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
• Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
• If not board certified at time of application but completed residency within last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from completion date
• H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship available
• Experience can be demonstrated by providing fellowship log (if just completed fellowship)
• Experience can be demonstrated by providing a quality profile from hospital(s) where currently privileged showing clinical activity for the past 24 months, including numbers of procedures performed morbidity, mortality, infection rates and other complications (if not applying directly out of residency)
• Must be able to demonstrate active involvement in at least 200 Anesthesia cases in the last 24 months
