Anesthesiologist

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center - Shreveport seek applicants to join the Department of Anesthesiology at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Clinicians will provide patient care across multiple clinical sites while teaching and mentoring residents and fellows in a Level I Trauma Center setting. • Fully ACGME-accredited program and ICPNT-certified fellowship
• Care for patients across multiple sites, including our Academic Medical Center, St. Mary Medical Center, Feist-Weiller Cancer Center, and OLHS Regional Urology Ambulatory Surgery Center
• Level I Trauma Center
• LSU Health Sciences Center is home to 800+ students across the Schools of Medicine, Graduate Studies, and Allied Health Professions, with nearly 600 residents and fellows trained annually

Responsibilities

• Care for patients across multiple sites, including our Academic Medical Center, St. Mary Medical Center, Feist-Weiller Cancer Center, and OLHS Regional Urology Ambulatory Surgery Center
• Teach and mentor 32 residents and 3 pain fellows in our fully ACGME-accredited program, plus train future neuroanesthesiologists through our ICPNT-certified fellowship

Compensation

• Board Certified starting pay $600k
• OT and Weekend additional comp

Shift & Schedule

• Minimal call, with 40-hr week of Monday-Friday, 7a-3p

Qualifications

• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Advanced training/fellowship in Peds, OB, Critical Care, or Cardiac are encouraged to apply
• Eligible for active Louisiana Medical Licensure
• New graduates welcome - mentorship provided to support early-career faculty
• Strong commitment to teaching, scholarly activity, and patient-centered care
