The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine invites talented anesthesiologists committed to clinical excellence to join the team at UPMC East. This role offers an engaging general position with opportunities for academic appointment and custom position structuring based on individual interests. Physicians will join a diverse group managing a broad variety of major adult subspecialty care in a state-of-the-art community hospital setting.

• CRNA supervision, 3:1 concurrency target
• Hospital has 12 anesthesiologists and 10 CRNAs
• UPMC East is a new, state-of-the-art community hospital on a 16.7-acre campus in Monroeville, PA, providing care for patients throughout the communities east of Pittsburgh
• The hospital has 155 private rooms, 120 medical-surgical beds, 16 ICU beds, seven operating rooms, two endoscopy rooms, and two catheterization labs
• The hospital's areas of special focus include cancer, gastroenterology, heart and vascular medicine, rehabilitation, stroke, surgery, and women's health

Shift & Schedule

• Schedule: physician daylight coverage M-F 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Call: All days - beeper call, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Qualifications

• The candidate must be board-certified or board eligible in anesthesiology
• Ability to obtain a medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
• Open to visa sponsorship
