Anesthesiologist

Somnia Anesthesia, a physician-owned and clinician-led group, is seeking Per Diem Anesthesiologists to join their expanding team at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, CA. This role offers a competitive per diem rate and additional stipends for call duty, with new graduates welcome to apply. Practice Info

• Most days scheduled at St. John's Regional Medical Center: 6 ORs running, IR, ENDO, Cath Lab/Cardiac.
• St. John's Regional Medical Center handles 8,036 cases/year including general, ortho, urology, GYN, vascular, GI, outpatient, hearts, heads, neuro, occasional healthy peds, and OB.
• Dignity St. John Camarillo (no OB, no cardiac) has 2 ORs running and a Cath Lab.
• Dignity St. John Camarillo handles 1,041 cases with anesthesia involvement, including general, ortho, urology, GYN, vascular, GI, outpatient, and occasional healthy peds.
• Cardiac call, open hearts, and structural heart cases are staffed by cardiac anesthesia physicians.
• OB Call is taken by a separate provider, with no OB call requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

• Work own cases with a collaborative approach to CRNA's.

Compensation

• Per diem rate: $2200/day
• Additional stipends and hourly pay for call duty (not required, but encouraged)
• Stipends range from up to $4800 depending on call taken
• Referral bonus of up to $5,000 if a recommended colleague is hired

• Variety of shifts: 8s/10s/12s; flexible scheduling
• Typical day when not on call is scheduled 7 am to 5 pm
• All call from home once cases are completed
• Weekend: Call coverage only

Requirements

• Current CA license
• Cardiac fellowship
• BC required
• BLS/ACLS/PALS
