Anesthesiologist

Somnia Anesthesia, a physician-owned and clinician-led group, is seeking Per Diem Anesthesiologists to join their expanding team at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, CA. This role offers a competitive per diem rate and additional stipends for call duty, with new graduates welcome to apply. The position provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a variety of cases and flexible scheduling options in coastal Ventura County.

• St. John's Regional Medical Center has 6 ORs running, IR, ENDO, Cath Lab/Cardiac, 8 ORs + 2 OBs, handling 8,036 cases/year
• Cases include general, ortho, urology, GYN, vascular, GI, outpatient, hearts, heads, neuro, occasional healthy peds, and OB
• Dignity St. John Camarillo has 2 ORs running, Cath Lab, 3 ORs + 1 Cath lab, handling general, ortho, urology, GYN, vascular, GI, outpatient, and occasional healthy peds
• MDs work their own cases with a collaborative approach to CRNAs
• CRNAs do their own cases

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia coverage for a variety of cases including general, ortho, urology, GYN, vascular, GI, outpatient, hearts, heads, neuro, and occasional healthy peds
• Participate in call duty (encouraged, but not required)
• Staff cardiac call, open hearts, and structural heart cases if specializing in cardiac anesthesia

Compensation

• Per diem rate: $2,000/day
• Additional stipends and hourly pay for call duty (not required, but encouraged)
• Stipends range up to $4,800 depending on call taken
• Referral bonus of up to $5,000

• Variety of shifts: 8s/10s/12s
• Flexible scheduling
• Typical day when not on call is scheduled 7 am to 5 pm
• All call from home once cases are completed
• OB Call taken by a separate provider, no OB call requirement

Requirements

• Current CA license
• Cardiac fellowship
• BC required
• BLS/ACLS/PALS
