Oneida Health is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join their award-winning team in Oneida, NY. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a rebuilding anesthesia team, contributing to high-quality patient care in a community hospital setting. The role involves managing a diverse case load, including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, endo, and OB.

Practice Info

  • Community hospital in the process of rebuilding its anesthesia team
  • 8,000 cases annually consisting of Endo, General, Ortho, ENT, L&D, and other specialties
  • Main OR cases include general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, endo, and OB
  • Care team model

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Compensation

  • Salary: $600K
  • Sign-on Incentives (Bonus with/without retention, Training Assistance, or Loan Repayment): $100K

Shift & Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 7am to 5pm
  • Beeper call with low call in rate
  • Full time Anesthesiologists rotate Mondays off

Requirements

  • OB experience is required
  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMG and FLEX
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a physician
