Anesthesiologist

Oneida Health seeks an Anesthesiologist to join its community hospital in Oneida, NY, as it rebuilds its anesthesia team. This rewarding opportunity features a care team model managing approximately 8,000 annual cases across general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, OB, and other specialties. Physicians will provide comprehensive anesthesia care in a collaborative environment close to home.

Practice Info

• Community hospital in process of rebuilding its anesthesia team
• 8,000 cases annually consisting of Endo, General, Ortho ENT, L&D and other specialties
• Care team model
• Main OR cases include general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, endo and OB

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
• Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership

Compensation

• Salary: $600K
• Sign on Incentive: $100K

Shift & Schedule

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am to 5pm
• Beeper call with low call in rate
• Full time Anesthesiologists rotate Mondays off

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Completion of Anesthesiology Residency
• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• Current medical licensure
• ECFMG/FLEX (if applicable)
• OB experience is required
