In all of these areas, patients can count on a growing array of resources and technology as well as the promise of our healing mission, to promote, maintain and restore health with exceptional patient-focused care in a compassionate setting.Position Overview – 12-week contractGeneral UroVascular Ortho OB Endo Volume is light; 10-20 cases/day - 90 days - 7a to 3p OR 5a to 5p - Coverage is 1 week w/same MD covering day shift/call- OT options available - Lodging: $131/day - Car rental: $250/week - # of OR rooms: 3 anesthetizing locations (2 OR, 1 NORA) Staffing model: 3:1 Medical Direction EMR system: EPICAnesthesiologist - ResponsibilitiesAssist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the anesthesia departmentResponsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical proceduresPre-anesthesia assessmentObtains and/or verifies patient consentDiscuss anesthetic options and risks with the patientInduction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesiaMonitoring of the patient's physiological conditionPerformance of clinical intervention as neededAnesthesiologist - RequirementsCurrent license to practice medicine in the state of Virginia.Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology.
