Anesthesiologist

Sanford Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Anesthesiologist to join their South University Department of Anesthesia in Fargo, ND. This role offers the opportunity to work within a large team of anesthesiologists and CRNAs, focusing on dedicated orthopedic practice. The position provides a balanced work-life schedule with no weekends, holidays, or call, and the potential for an academic appointment.

• Join a team of 23 anesthesiologists and 90+ CRNAs

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical examinations
• Comprehensively manage patients of all ages rendered unconscious or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgical and obstetrical procedures

Requirements

• BE/BC Anesthesiologist
• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Successful completion of a hospital affiliated residency/fellowship of at least 3-4 years' duration in Anesthesia accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
• Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
• If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
• If just completed a fellowship, provide fellowship log
• If not applying directly out of residency, provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where privileges are held showing clinical activity for the past 24 months, including numbers of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications, demonstrating active involvement in at least 200 Anesthesia cases in the last 24 months
• If a quality profile is not available, provide documentation of hospital-based clinical activity for the past 24 months, demonstrating active involvement in at least 200 Anesthesia cases in the last 24 months
