  • Practice offers a full array of anesthesia services for Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center.
  • Facility is recognized for excellence on a national level and is among the premier teaching hospitals in the United States.
  • Second-largest hospital in Georgia, with 637 licensed beds for medical surgical, cardiac surgery, trauma treatment, and pediatrics.
  • Facility has a Level I Trauma Center, a children’s hospital built in 2019, 34 operating rooms and several ancillary suites, and a stand-alone outpatient facility.
  • Practice consists of 16 anesthesiologists and 58 anesthetists, including CRNAs and Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAAs).
  • Care team model focuses on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping to deliver care excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Case assignments include General surgery, cardiac, pediatrics, OB and GYN services, ortho, trauma, plastics, ENT, urology, and neurosurgery.
  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department.
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures.
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment.
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent.
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient.
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and performance of clinical intervention as needed.

Compensation

  • Salary: $565,000
  • Sign On Incentives including Loan Repayment and Training Assistance options: $30,000

Shift & Schedule

  • Schedule flexibility.
  • Call: 7:00pm-7:00am provides 2 days post call off.

Requirements

  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
  • ECFMG and FLEX.
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
  • Currently licensed as a physician.
