Anesthesiologist

Anesthesiologist coverage is sought for a Level III Trauma Center located in Munster, Indiana. This locum tenens opportunity involves providing anesthesia services during day shifts within an active operating room program supporting a broad range of surgical specialties. Clinicians will work under a medical supervision model with variable case loads across diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services under a medical supervision model (1:6) during day shifts with 50% hands-on MD involvement
• Handle general surgery, cardiac procedures, optional lungs and vascular cases, limited neurological cases including weekly spine procedures, light trauma volume, and pediatric cases limited to minor ortho and ENT procedures for patients generally age 2 and older
• Perform independent regional anesthesia

• ASAP - Ongoing
• Day shift
• Call required: Negotiable
• Occasional after-hours call required including emergent cases such as C-sections

• Board certification required
• Prescriptive authority required
• Credentialing takes approximately 90 days and temporary privileges are not available
