Anesthesiologist

HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital Highland, an affiliate of Hospital Sisters Health System, is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to provide comprehensive care to residents in Madison county and surrounding communities. This role involves managing anesthesia for routine, low-risk surgical cases, primarily focusing on orthopedic, GI, and general surgery. The position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to a critical access hospital setting.

Practice Info

• HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital Highland is a small critical access hospital.
• Performs routine low-risk surgery.
• Primarily case mix is ortho, GI, and general surgery.
• No hearts/heads, no vascular cases.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department.
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures.
• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessment.
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent.
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient.
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitor the patient's physiological condition.
• Perform clinical intervention as needed.

Compensation

• Salary: $450,000
• Sign-on bonus: $50,000 with training assistance and loan repayment options available.

Shift & Schedule

• Monday - Friday 7 am-3:00 pm
• No Call!

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
• ECFMG and FLEX.
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
• Currently licensed as a physician.
