Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester, VA, is seeking a dedicated Anesthesiologist for a day-only position with an excellent work-life balance. This role offers the opportunity to join a nonprofit, short-term acute care facility that is part of the Riverside Health System, providing comprehensive care to the community. The position features a favorable 2 weeks on, 1 week off schedule with no call responsibilities, allowing for ample personal time.

- 67-bed facility with a 24-hour emergency service and a 12,000-square-foot intensive care unit
- Direct access to Riverside Regional Medical Center's Level II trauma center, a nationally recognized Heart Center, and an 18-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- Case assignments include Endo, Ortho, Ophthalmology, General, Urology, Vascular, GYN, ENT
Responsibilities
- Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
- Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtain and/or verify patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Compensation
- Salary: $450,000
- Sign-On Bonus Incentives: $100,000

Requirements
- M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- ECFMG and FLEX
- Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
- Currently licensed as a physician
