Anesthesiologist

This hospital is seeking a Locum Tenens MD in Anesthesiology for an ongoing assignment starting in December. The clinician will provide anesthesia services in an OR and perioperative setting across a diverse surgical case mix. The role involves day shifts and required on-call duties supporting a collaborative care team.

• Hospital providing anesthesia and surgical services within an organized surgical program

• Surgical case mix includes cardiac, thoracic, general surgery, orthopedic, OB, GYN, ENT, urology, endoscopy, neuro, vascular, plastics, pediatrics, and podiatry procedures
• Support staff includes CRNAs who participate in every CV case
• Variable case load/PPD
• Patient population: All Ages
• On-site location type
• Supervision model featuring 50% hands-on MD care

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services during day shifts within a perioperative setting
• Fulfill call obligations including weeknight and weekend CV call

Shift & Schedule

• Dates needed: December - Ongoing
• Day shift
• Assignment type: OR
• Call required at a minimum of 1 week per month
• Call obligations include 2-3 weeknights of CV call from 7 PM to 7 AM
• 1 weekend of CV call on 24-hour shifts with a 30-minute callback requirement

Requirements

• Board certification in Anesthesiology required
• TEE certification required
