OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL, is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join their nationally recognized team. This role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia care within a 174-bed facility that serves the eastern Illinois community. The successful candidate will contribute to a collaborative care team model, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

  • The 174-bed OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center provides comprehensive healthcare for the community of Danville, IL, along with the nearby region.
  • The facility is part of the OSF HealthCare system, an integrated healthcare network operated by The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis.
  • Case assignments include General, OB, ortho, and ophthalmology.
  • The care team model focuses on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping them to deliver care excellence.
  • Team Leadership is provided by James Norris, Chief Anesthesiologist.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtain and/or verify patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Compensation

  • Salary: $550,000 annually
  • Sign-on Incentives (Bonus with/without retention, Training Assistance, or Loan Repayment): $75,000

Requirements

  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMC and FLEX
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a physician
