Responsibilities

• Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Provide medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain during surgery and other procedures
• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitor patient’s physiological condition
• Perform clinical interventions as needed

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited college of medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician
