Anesthesiologist

North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA) is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join their team at The Surgery Center of Chevy Chase. This role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia care for a diverse range of surgical specialties. The position offers an opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility with a focus on developing advanced anesthesia techniques.

Practice Info

• The Surgery Center of Chevy Chase has four fully equipped operating rooms.
• The facility is 15,000-square-foot featuring the most current advances in medical technology.
• Serves the specialties of general surgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, otolaryngology, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry, and urology.
• CRNAs and MDs have the opportunity to develop and improve skills in multi-model analgesia/ultrasound-guided techniques/ERAs.
• The top three cases performed at this site include upper and lower orthopedic cases, spine (maximum 2 levels with no invasive lines), and plastics.
• Practice Model: Team-based model. Most commonly, medical supervision (MDs do 20% of their cases).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of Activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Shift & Schedule

• Monday-Friday (Thursday has 10 and 12 hour rooms)
• No Call

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of an approved residency in Anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a Physician
