Anesthesiologist

Locum tenens anesthesiologist coverage is sought for an assignment at a Level II Trauma Center and Level III NICU facility in California. The clinician will provide day shift coverage with in-house call responsibilities, assisting in directing and coordinating activities within the Anesthesia Department. This inpatient and OR role involves conducting pre-anesthesia assessments, managing anesthesia delivery, and monitoring patient physiological conditions under a physician supervision model.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing and coordinating activities within the Anesthesia Department
• Provide day shift coverage with in-house call responsibilities
• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments
• Obtain and verify patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitor patients' physiological conditions throughout surgical and medical procedures
• Perform clinical interventions as needed

Qualifications

• Board certification required
• MD
